Hi, I'm planning to have tibia done with Dr. Birkholtz in early 2019. I have been exchanging emails with Dr B's assistant Tessa. It seems they have a bit of change in policy that now patients are responsible for everything about accommodation, transport and food.
For this reason, I figured that if there happens to be not only me wanting to do it with Dr. B, we would better stick together as team. Tessa sent me a list of guesthouse/lodge nearby the hospital and I have sent each of the facilities an email. All I can say is that the cost for accommodation is definite high and the transport arrangement is messy, patients are now responsible for all their transport to and from the hospital. A crippled patient has to deal with transport on his own. This goes without saying that we will be thinking a lot how to deal with it. Anyway, if you read this and you are interested in joining me, message me.
