Why on earth does this guys name ever get any respect or is taken seriously on here? I now see hes had atleast 2 deaths in the last few years including one user of this forum AND the unicorn incident. Im extremely shocked how hes still allowed to operate when he seems to be not much better than the guys at LLT.

Do better doctors still have deaths and we just don't know? or is Guichet really as bad as I think he is?

Also thinking about the same topics. If a patient dies due to PE the doctor usually wont get any blame for it. The authorities will just check if all basic protocols were followed. if death happens weeks after surgery especially then its more easy to blame the patient as well (he was not walking enough, he missed blood thinner, he was fasting etc). The patient is dead so you will not hear his version of the story.

Maybe deaths are happening more but we don't hear about it. Especially in those cases where the patient goes back home after a few weeks. If he dies no one really finds out except his family and the doctor.

I havent heard anyone ever speak positively of Monegal in this forum before which is why im so concerned in the case of Guichet and I really hope if respected doctors such as paley rozbruch Assayag etc have had deaths that someone will speak up if they are aware

There were a couple people who had a good experience with him, but ultimately there were a lot of patients with Monegal who were afraid to speak out in public and only told of the real issues through DM.

That's the thing, though. Some people ended up okay even with Dr Sarin. Still a bigger and unnecessary risk going to them though.

My impression is that with any doctor even LLT you are more likely to have a good result than a bad one but the risks are intolerably high with worse doctors

Yep. Guichet has some clout because he is sort of a pioneer in the field. However, I'm afraid the game has passed him by so-to-speak.
