Is anyone currently doing a CLL with Dr Halil Buldu in Istanbul or are planning of doing it within the next month?
With most borders closed, Turkey seems like the only option for me (Canadian)
Also considering between PRECICE 2 & LON, any pieces of advice? Primary concern is the recovery time and when I can walk normally, any advice?

Hey bro, my surgery is tentatively scheduled for May 15th if all goes according to plan. Doing LON femur, shooting for 7.5cm.
Everybody's response and recover to the procedures are different. Read the blogs, and do what you think is best!

Don't do LON in the femur....too many problems with infection and severe knee stiffness. Don't just take it from me, ask for a 2nd opinion from any doctor you trust. good luck.

I appreciate you taking the time to write this message, but no thanks. I understand the risk and complications, but anything less than 7cm is a waste of time and money.
I will definitely spend the next 12+ months recovering, but in my opinion it is very much worth it. Also, I already scheduled several months of rehab/physical therapy. I'll be fine, but thanks again for your concern bud.

Can the stiffness be eliminated/reduced if you only lengthen the femur 3 - 4 cm?

Lon femur is just extremely painful and is torture, not to mention the actual complications

I am also scheduled for May 15th, most likely with Precice 2, are you going to do it with Dr Halil Buldu as well?

Yep! If we have surgeries on the same day I'm definitely going to ask to have mine postponed - I don't want a tired surgeon working on my leg. PM me and let's stay in touch - sounds like we're going to be hotel mates lol
