I live in Southern California and I am either going to go with Dr. Mahboubian and the internal nail,  or the LON with Dr Chung. I am doing femurs.

I realize that I am on the tall side to have this surgery, I am 5'11'' barefoot starting out, however I am the shortest guy in my family by 2'' at least. I am looking to gain 3'' and make it to 6'2''.

The main reason I am considering both options is the cost difference. If I stay here in LA, it's 85k for the surgery plus at least another 15k for rent and rehab. If I go to South Korea, it's 40k all in including the accommodations for 120 days. I have ruled out Turkey because I have read too many stories of botched surgeries there. I can pay for either one, but at the end of the day, 60k in savings is a big deal.

I am new to this whole thing, Ive only been researching a few months. I would like to get some direction or advice from some of the members who have had the surgery or have a lot of knowledge about it. Thank you all in advance for your advice!

oi boyo
need to do more research on the topic, lon femur is a nogo, and who the hell  is even "dr chung"? noone here knows who he is

id say "lon femur with dr chung in south korea" sounds like a great way to get botched + when they see your white americoont a$$ over there in south korea you may end up robbed and have your organs harvested innit

its a serious consideration for americoonts that go and disable themselves for 6 months in the turd world to save a buck, have it in mind

with regards to your money, look at it this way - you can either save 60k and pay the difference in extreme pain, discomfort and isolation, or you can do internals for the big buxx and have an easy ride (youre still looking at a terrible 3-5 months of pain and discomfort but much less than with lon femur)

at the end of the day its just money, and becoming taller and frauding your genetic wealth is much more important than some digits on your online banking portal

cheers

Thank you for the information, this may be a silly question but if LON for femurs isn't good why are there many other doctors doing it still?
