Possibly ridiculous question but can you drive a car with external frames on?
Going to be a nightmare for me if not
NB I drive an automatic
Not sure how Pili is with e-mails, but you should e-mail him about this too.
I guess it depends on the type of frame, but I am going to say no. I used a classic external frame in the beginning, and there was no way in hell i could drive with them on. They are just too bulky and your range of motion with your foot takes time to recover after going through lengthening. Now if you go with internals, sure. I was driving one month post op after the nail with LATN just fine. My foot was still not as elastic at the time, so it still wasn't used to the bending motion with putting your foot down on the brake or accelerator. I avoided inner city driving until about month two of the nail.
Only with monorails and only after finishing lengthening.
And still not the best, at least for 1-2 months after lengthening.
Thanks all; I somehow thought I could manage it never mind
Asked Pili and he said no and that it's probably illegal in the UK which I think it is.
8 months without Driving!
Could always do 5'10 and cut some of that time!
But that's just my opinion.
All hail taxi services.
That was the one beauty of doing LL in Russia. Taxi rides were like 2 dollars and groceries could be delivered for roughly the same. In the U.S., I used taxis for about a month and I easily spent 40+ bucks a day on just simple trips.

Yes I completely agree; the 3" goal in my sig was for internal femur but I've sadly realised I cannot afford £55,000 so external tibia is my next best option.
From reading everyone's accounts especially Sweden I'm shooting for 6.5cm which would make me just over 5"10.5 So I can claim 5"11
haha

Think I'd actually get killed in Russia atm being British or just denied a visa full stop also I don't have the balls to go there regardless of political unrest.
