Hi,
I decided to start this diary because of boredom  External Tibias with Dr. Sarin . I hope it will help somebody in the future.

Some basic info about me:
From: Europe
Age: about 25
Initial height: 171cm
goal: 7.5cm

I had my surgery on 17 September. I started lengthening on 26 September. Now I should be at about 4cm. I haven't a ballerina yet and my journey is easy so far. I'm working remotely 6h a day without any problems.

I don't know what else I can say. If you have any questions, just ask  External Tibias with Dr. Sarin.

Meck, the first two weeks after surgery was quite painful for me. The first day after leaving the hospital, I had merely bearable pain on my legs. I said that to my doctor and he changed my painkillers. With new painkillers, I didn't feel almost any pain. Maybe you should talk with doc about new painkillers?

Gee.... 4 mm per day!!  That is insane!  I can't believe your doc said that.  As you may know, the standard rate for femur is 1 mm per day.  Even with that speed, you will feel tightness, discomfort, and some pain very soon.  You may go faster at the beginning, but it may make you delay the whole process, if your muscles/tissues/nerves become so tight, or your bone may not grow fast enough.  Anyway, cll is a long journey.  So be patient!

Meck it's very good sign that you don't have pain after you stopped lengthening for a few days. I hope everything will be fine with you  External Tibias with Dr. Sarin

Here are some x-rays:

3 days after surgery:

after 10 days of lengthening:

after 32 days of lengthening:

My right leg is a little shorter than the left on the last xray, but it's normal. I was allowed to lengthen my right leg by 1.25mm per day to align this disproportion after that.

dunghuynh2227, you're talking to me? I don't worry. Every body is different. However, I met here a lot of people who done more than 6cm and they're okay now, so I think I will be alright too.
