Was a 5 cm femur lengthening assigned to all trial participants? or was it based on your current height/femur length? or maybe something else?

Yes, 5cm is in papers cant do more. If trial is successfull up to 9cm will be possible.

Do you have limb lenght discrepancy or yours is a pure cosmetic surgery? I'm trying to discover if this new nail will be avaible to cosmetic limb lengthening patients

Cosmetic for me, yes it will be avalible for this purpose. Im 177cm now and will be 182.
