Forget Precice! Do you really want to use a walker/wheelchair/crutches for six months?

I'm doing just 5 cm, so not THAT long. Anyway, I don't want to do tibia, and I have no money for betzbone so... Precice it's my only option if it comes back before August lol. I do am worried it takes longer
Here is a short clip of the scars 4 months post surgery.
I did point with the finger where the scars are. The other skin irritation are not from LL.

congrats. so many of the scars are so minimal. and as i figured. really staying under the 5.5cm mark seems to show awesome proportions and great aesthetics. coongratulations on the recovery. really great choice. sucks stryde is gone haha. lucky you man!
Hello folks,
a quick update. Unfortunately, I'll need an additional surgery. Since my bone is not growing good enough on the outerside, my doctor will swap the Stryde nail for a standard nail in January. I think that has also something to do, with the fact why the nail has been recalled. I will have to leave this new nail for about 1 year before it will be removed. My doctor is pretty sure, that the bone will grow together properly after the nail change. There are no additional costs for me, as insurance will pay for it, but it is still an additional operation which I would be happy to skip :p.
Otherwise everything is fine with me. Im still very happy that I ve made this surgery. I haven't done any intense sport for 11 months, now because the bones are not yet 100% stable and I don't want to take any risks. Like many of my predecessors, I emphasize that it can often take longer than expected before you can do all kinds of sports again.
Here is another picture from my last x-ray. https://imgur.com/a/ON3vIMd
Best regards!
Hi Erkan, thanks for your update!
Did this malunion only occur in your left femur? Will the new nail be a full weight bearing nail?
I'm on my way home from the doctor. actually it had to be the operation clarification meeting today. however, the bone formation has improved significantly over the last x-ray in september which Ive included in my last post. The doctor has now decided to make another appointment in March. If the bone grow continues like that, I probably won't need an additional surgery after all. I was positively surprised. In addition, I got the approval to be able to do normal sport.
