Guys
GLOBAL ORTHOPEDIC GROUP did not exist 6 months ago.
Some very shady guy from London named “Asim” who wouldn’t give any background about himself, reached out because he wanted to partner up with a known name of Limb Lengthening to offer cheaper LL options in Turkey.
To me They’re another greedy turkish clinics owned by god knows who, and that just wants to make a quick buck. Their physical therapists were NOT trained at ICLL
Beware of them as soon we will start seeing diaries about them like the other ones we read about from Turkey.

Fly to Turkey (Istanbul) and see the big leg lengthening hospitals

Quote from: Ichdereine on December 28, 2022, 08:32:36 PMDo you have evidence that some patients have been crippled or have you read it somewhere and you think that's the truth? Do you know a patient who became crippled? If so, which doctor did he see?
There are plenty of diaries and posts here with horror stories from Turkey. And from India too of course but we are talking about Turkey here.
I really can't believe how there are still people giving plenty of money to turkish doctor crooks to ruin themselves while they can do LL with the same money on first world countries like Italy and Greece.
Quote from: Limbfan2020 on December 28, 2022, 09:32:52 PMThere are a lot of diaries of patients who were crippled by Turkish or Indian LL surgeons. In my opinion, this is only the tip of the iceberg since most of the crippled patients don't make public statements due to shame and fear. Especially, crippled Asian and Japanese patients won't show up because they would lose their face when complaining about these LL butchers.

Don't get fooled by these youtube/instagram/twitter marketing campaigns.
Well written.

Hmm weird that they quoted you for 66,000 USD. I sent them a email three weeks ago to ask about their price and they told me that it was 90,000 USD. We need a clarification from them about prices.
FYI you might be able to do limb lengthening with precise in the US for $66k or even less. I paid less than that. I don't see why anyone would go to Turkey when you can pay the same amount and get the safety/protection of doing this in the US. By the way, it's not that I don't think it is possible to get good healthcare somewhere other than the US. But I think there is enough evidence that there clearly is not enough regulation of this procedure in Turkey given the complications patients have had and continue to have.
True unless its a surgeon like Dr Metin Kucukkaya who is a well known specialist in the field. He is the only surgeon to be trusted in Turkey imo. Wherever you go you must make sure your surgeon and team of physios etc are all experts in the field of Limb Lengthening.
Check their journal articles or ask other reputable surgeons if they have heard of your surgeon names do your research!

Thanks for the info, it did feel like they showed up out of nowhere. Dr. Donghoon Lee did recommended Dr. Metin which made me think they were legit. The guy on the phone said the reason why the bank we send money to is in London is because "people are afraid to send money to Turkey", but now I am starting to wonder whether the whole thing is just a big scam from someone in London.

Totally normal to have concerns about them, because you are right they did come out of nowhere. I’m waiting for the interview of Dr. Metin on Cyborg4Life to verify things.
