I did G-nail surgery on femurs last year and I finished consolidation. obviously in lengthening phase, with G-nail we have to twist leg and click. Guichet told me after consolidation it will never click. Well I am now fully consolidated, but I still sometimes hear click noises. Maybe once or twice a week. Since these clicks sound softer than the clicks I heard during lengthening I don't think it's doing any elongation. X-ray looks normal.

Do any other G-nail patients hear clicking noises after consolidation? Is this normal for everyone or is maybe my nail broken?

Obviously I told me doctor, I'm just wondering if any other G-nail patients had this issue.

No response. That's why I ask. Are there no G-nail patients in this forum anymore?

im currently in the distraction phase using a gnail, when I click i sometimes hear ‘fake’ clicks where it does a small click and doesnt feel like a normal click, I think this is just the muscle tensing onto the nail, im not 100% sure though but I dont think these lengthen.

did you get any of these during lengthening, my clicks are quite painful at the moment

Fake clicks happen to many people, your doctor should have told you this before surgery. Fakes clicks happened to me before but it is hard to tell which clicks are real and which clicks are fake.
