Hey all,

I'm currently in week 3 of femur lengthening using g-nail. Up until now clicking was relatively easy and painless, but the past few days it has been increasingly painful, to the point where it's become quite stressful.

The only really tip I was given was to relax, and it worked quite well initially to make sure I don't go too fast and create pain. But now even we all the relaxation in the world, it just hurts !

As I'm writing this I just finished my morning clicking session and it lasted 42min for the right side and 17min for the left side. and 10mi later it still hurts from all the twisting ! Now I don't even care about the time tbh, it could be 1 hour each leg, but even when taking my time it still hurts like a b*tch.

So here are my questions:
- Do you guys have any tips/tricks to make it hurt less ?
- Does it get better or worse ? Intuitively, as the muscles get even more stretched with time, I feel it's going to get worse...

If you have any experience with this please help a brother out.
Hopefully this thread can also be a good resource for future G-nail/Betzbone patients.

Hey, how’s your leg doing now? Has the pain gotten any better?
I’m really interested in Dr. Betz as well.
During your lengthening phase, did you have to do physiotherapy too?
And were you allowed to take any painkillers?
