I'll do this for my tibia surgery. Everything is possible. Blood bank guys will even give you blow job if you want. You can't get this done on phone, Go visit the place personally give the male nurse some cash and then talk to him then he'll find a way for you for certain amount of money. They even sell illegal kidneys in India and you're telling me that this is not possible total bs.

is this your plan?

2 week before surgery find a nurse of blood bank and ask him to take your blood and store it somewhere separete from other people blood and keep it for at least 2-3 week
on surgery day you will ask doctor to use blood only from that bank and talk to that nurse. doc will say "OK"
if transfusion is necessary doc will arrange for your blood from that bank and specificaly by contacting that nurse

is this your plan?

If such arrangement already exists between hospital and bank then OK otherwise lol it wont work. Better to just accept that 1 in 1000 to 1 in 10000 risk of HIV and hepatitis I guess. You already done this once and took the risks.

Man I wont say India as a whole is bad if you go to good surgeon n hospital.

Main problem is blood which is "common resource" of the country. you cant get "private" "high priority" blood from blood bank for extra cost or anything like that.

There are two problems

1. NAT (nucleic type) testing is not done in all places. Some good blood banks do it but not all. other banks use inferior test method which can has chance of giving HIV or hepatitis (almost 1000 case per year due to blood transfusion!)

2. blood donation is in shortage. Imagine that there is emergency type situation and you are looking for blood. You will search in nearby blood bank. They will not always have availability. You will have to make compromise and get more dangerous blood which is not NAT test proof! You can either do that or desparately find some friend who will donate for you.
