Quote from: MyronReducto on January 26, 2017, 11:52:16 AMI had undergone femur LL about 2.5 years ago and lengthened around 7cm with the PRECICE2 nail. I won't specify which doctor had operated on me but the overall procedure was uneventful and I'm happy with my final height.
However one issue that bothers me is the onset of pain in one of my leg after working out in the gym. I mostly do resistance with little aerobic exercises. It's hard to tell where the exact origin of the pain is but I can feel it throughout my leg and that side of the hip. The pain even extends below the knee onto my lower leg even though I haven't lengthened my tibias.
The pain varies in severity each day and mostly begins 20-60 mins after working out and lasts for couple of hours. I usually take 500mg of Paracetamol and 150mg of Ibuprofen which usually decreases the pain within 30 mins.
What really surprises me is that the pain occurs even if I only train my upper body and avoid my legs. I did not have any issues with pain after working out before my LL procedure.
I'm wondering if any of the LL veterans face or had this issue?
Also note that I still have my PRECICE2 rods in my femurs and that this pain only affects one of my leg while the other leg is painless.
I'm not an orthopedist, but the symptoms you're describing sound like a lower back issue. Seriously.
