Thanks for the response, I'd say this is the most sound argument against LL for now. But we cannot predict mental health haha. I hope I can save money by either growing or not caring about height anymore but we will have to see. I'm building my career and I'd have to finances to do this comfortably in the future, I wont disclose what it is but I would love to lengthen to 5'11-6'0.

If you talk about the risks from the surgeries, then option 5 is the worst because it needs 3 surgeries (1 femur + 1 tibia + 1 rebreak). However option 5 is the safest way to gain maximum length with internal nails, and you won’t need IT band release because you just lengthen femurs by 4 cm. It’s not an unknown procedure. You schedule both surgeries at least 3 weeks apart from each other and you lengthen both segments for period of time. Your upper legs may not even feel tight after you’re done with 4 cm femurs (most people start to feel very tight after 5 cm). So this is the safest option for people who are tight or who want to get maximum length. And about money, you don’t need to pay for phase 2 in advance. You only need to pay for it after you decide you want phase 2 and you schedule your phase 2 surgery. I agree CrispinGloverFan12 is too young and it’s best to wait. The youngest patient I saw was 19 and it already surprised me…
I don't understand tho why he is 165 and wants to reach 181 .
This greed it's what drives me crazy .
This means he only sticks to what others says and not to what he feels !
Maybe with 8 cm femur he will be good to go , a solid 5'8 and maybe he will feel great and move on .
He want to jump from short to tall without not even knowing what there is in between .
I think you would be way better off with 5'8 ,1 (well 2) surgery ,90k ,maybe you add a 1 inch insole ,get to 5'9 from a starting 5'5 ,work on yourself and move on .
And if you still feel short you can always do 5 cm tibia later and rebreak it and do whatever u want with ur legs.
You are also 17 and by no means fully grown ( mentally speaking, not as an offense) therefore I suggest you to leave this forum for couple years and come back when you have more awerness about yourself and your height and then plan on what to do .
Also when I was younger I used to think that money was not going to be a problem therefore 80/90 k where a lot but not a lot for a dream so I was just going hands down with the best , no problems with rents and so on because my safety had no price .
Well..as years passed I am worried if I will make it on time (for my timeline) and look around for the best way to save with a great surgeon because this s*** is expensive and others don't own us this amount of money .
So take your time and release som stress out of you because you are only 17 .

"5. Combined tibia (4 cm) and femur (4 cm) lengthening three weeks apart, followed by rebreaking of femur and tibia with the same PRECICE in place one year later with a second lengthening of 4 cm in each bone (up to 16 cm in height; cost $280,000 USD, PRECICE-Stryde)"
Option 5 involves having two lengthening phases. Phase 1 you do 4 cm per segment, 8 cm total. You then come back one year later, rebreak your femur and tibia, and repeat another lengthening amount of 4 cm, 8 cm total for phase 2.
The cumulative total of phase 1 and 2 is 16 cm.
I want to hear everyone's thoughts on this and if anyone has gone with it. I think this is what I desire at the moment. Right now my stats are 165cm at 17. If I get this, I will be 181cm, or 5'11.5, which I am totally content with, and with lifts I become 6'0-6'1, which is even better. I hope to grow more but I am doubtful, but at that point its just extra height to go with more limb lengthening.
You haven't mentioned two important parts:
- wingspan, max deviation from height is like 3 inches before it looks weird
- are you already financial independent? People who pay for Paley and then still have to attend a job are stupid. You can 5-10x that money with very low risk in the crypto market, if you know a few basics.
