This is a thread for those that have had the surgery.

Did your life change noticeably? Did the way you are regarded shift in any noticeable ways? Were there any unexpected improvements?

I'm still in the information gathering stage and had a consultation with a surgeon today. I'm curious to see what life is like on the other side of the procedure.

I'm still consolidating (5 months post-op). But I definitely feel more confident. I like the way I look in the mirror. It feels like the body I always envisioned for myself.

It's an interesting feeling looking down at people instead of up or at eye level.

While I'm still a ways away from being fully recovered, I'm happy to have gone through the procedure so far.
