I started doing it few weeks after i got out the hospital. The hotel i was staying at had a gym. I was very inconsistent though, but if you have the motivation and energy its possible to start right away. My pain levels were two high first 3 weeks after surgery so i started around 3 weeks post op. Just used dumbells for biceps, chest, shoulders triceps, and forearms workouts 2 days a week. I was also on a wheelchair with precise 2.2 so i got decent results.
