Hi, I have tried to find the good informations before resolving myself to post there, the reason is that there is a lot of conflicting infos given and I would like to be sure on this as this is a very serious intervention.
So I am a 25 years old guy at 172cm, and I would like to go over 180cm+ by doing 2 interventions (femur and tibia).
I heard that external procedures might be less estheticly pleasing because there are some scars (tbh it's not a big deal for me) but they are mostly safer because they prevent some pain complications you could have later on in your life (because of the less intrusive method) and also they are more flexible depending on when you want to stop etc. Is this correct ? Thanks
I also heard by doing external tibia you don't want to go over 5cm or you could face multiplied risks of complications. Also I heard that for external femur you don't want to go over 6cm as well for same reasons. Is this correct ? Thanks
Considering this and depending on your answers, do you think going for a 5cm external operation on tibia and a 6cm external operation on femur is a relatively "safe" LL procedure ? That would be put me at 183cm which is plenty enough for me, I could settle myself for even less if it's actually still not in the safe 'area'.
Thanks, hope you can help me sort it out !
How much height recommended for a "safe" LL ?
Ah okay didn't know internal femur method evolved, it seems better than it used to be ! Does that mean that I can also safely pull 8 cm for femur using the 'new' internal method instead of external as I was planning ? Thx
Alright I will stick to 6 then, you seem experienced, do you know by any chance some fitting doctors for the kind of operation I am asking ? Just a little list of the bests for what I am looking for (double operation with internal femur/external tibia). I will then study the list and see precisely who is the most interesting for me.
Thx for the precious informations, so there is no good doctor doing both in the same hospital? It's a bit scary to have to go to two different places :-/
Also is Russia safe for thoses kind of operations ? I mean I know there might be some good doctors over there but Russia is a hard country, I am afraid to be scammed if I don't speak russian.
Okay that's cool you can stay on the secured clinic, that makes it less scary for a total stranger to Russia
Anyway for a guy coming from Belgium like me, I guess the most logic call would still be to go to Italy and do the operations with doctor Pili/Catgni. I guess it's not possible to do both operations at the same time right ? That would mean I have to stay ~1,5 years consecutively in Italy to do both operations, that's a bit tough, I better be prepared ...
