Hi all. I’m currently 22 years old and have height neurosis for the past couple years. I can go outside unless I wear healed shoes and it really sucks as I can’t live my life at all and miss all family events. I would like to go from 5’10 to 6’2 would this be a dramatic difference socially and dating wise?

it can really only be spoken to by those that have done it but im not sure if it would be "massive" but it  would certainly be noticeable. However like I said previously, gaining 3 inches would get you to 6'1 and 6'2 is not going to be much different from that. most of the gain will be going from 5'10 to 6'0 after that you have to get to like 6'4/6'5 to get a big difference. and even that difference I would assume is not comparable to similar gains from heights below 6'0.

Most statistics I see seem to start really becoming less significant about 180cm or 5'11.

if you cant go outside at 5'10 I think there is something mentally wrong with you, more than the average person here, that needs to be addressed alongside whatever height problem you may have. I dont mean this in a very offensive way, I just cant comprehend why that would make you not be able to go outside. You are an average adult, no disfigurement nothing wrong with you. Nobody will look at you and think anything of it. Sure you may want to be taller and that can be dealt with, but you should be able to live your life still.

indeed, height neurosis/dysphoria is a horrible mental condition - he could wear lifts if it was crippling to that extent - doubt that it is at 5.10

though in truth some therapy obviously may help

Lifts give me horrible low back pain. Anything with cushioned or increase an height gives me low back pain. Tired of wearing lifts or these shoes then getting pain not worth the trade off.

well, you only need a 1 inch left + shoe = 6ft - you don't have much choice in that sense??

I'm sure you must go out anyway, a shoe makes you 5.11

You have any shoe recommendations by any chance? And also would going to paley for the 5.5 inch 200k be safe? I spoke to someone who went to him that had full recovery he is jumping running and moving normally like before surgery and he did this amount of increase.

200k + additional fees from PT/accommodation/lost income at 22? Damn some of you guys are either rich or greatly underestimating just how much that amount really is.
