I'm quite muscled particularly around the leg area. How will this affect the surgery? Should I expect more pain?
I'm only going to do 4cm on my femurs with Dr. Guitchets internal nail, maybe 5? but I'll have to do a mockup. 4cm is my goal. I'm currently 169cm, 4cm would get me to 173 and I might consider a second surgery on my tibias if the first goes well. Ideally I'd like to reach 175cm but ideals aren't always realistic.

You're right, I know I worry a fair bit about proportions.

Quote from: onemorefoot on November 14, 2016, 08:46:18 PM5 cm in both femurs with G-nail is a waste of money for me, at least 6. If you plan to do tibias in future do just 4 cm, 5 or more starts to cause problems.

I think 6 will become fairly noticeable for me in comparison to 4-5. 6cm would also leave a big imbalance between my femur and tibia.

6-7cm looks absolute horrendous on my femurs proportion wise there are also other reasons I will not do all on one segment one reason being when you kneel, squat and even sit there is a 6-7cm difference between the bones. Mechanically speaking that is terrible.
