Hey everyone. I will keep this as concise as possible.
In June I underwent tibia lengthening. Due to family reasons, I had to stop lengthening at 0.7cm. I gained next to nothing. LON procedure.
Now, it is 4 months post surgery and my right knee is ok, but my left knee hurts every step I take. I walk on one crutch, I am able to walk unaided but it just hurts my knee more. I have terrible hip sway also when walking.
My X-rays show that I have procurvatum deformity in both Tibias. Thankfully, because I live in the UK I can get this corrected by top specialists free of cost via the NHS, however I hate the fact that I will basically have to go through all the trauma and pain again, and at the end be left with bascially zero height gain.
I want to ask the fellow member here, what Dr’s would you guys recommend I consider to get this fixed with and also lengthen 3-4cm with? My budget isn’t that much, maximum $25k.
I am grateful that the deformity can be fixed here in the UK, but I know once I completely recover, I will hate myself for not having gone through 2 surgeries and not have gained any height.

I'm surprised your original doctor is willing to re-operate because you don't seem mentally in a good place at the moment and you really should be to complete this surgery.
If I was you I probably wouldn't go back to him anyway, monorail is not the most stable lon technique (although it may be more comfortable) and it seems he either didn't initially diagnose your procurvatum or worse yet, he caused it. Vietnam (where I went), India or Turkey (don't go to Buldu) seem to be in your budget.
I had hip sway and knee pain too, both have gotten a lot better so try not to worry too much about those, but it will take time.

Because I am from the UK I can get the deformity fixed but they will most likely not allow me to lengthen.
I really want to avoid turkey and India. I have heard some good things about Vietnam, I believe the user ‘boklcert’ went there too and had a good result.
If you don’t mind, could you please tell me the Dr you went to and what your experience was like. If it’s within budget, I will strongly consider it.

Can you show us your current x-ray?
My personal opinion is that it is safer to operate in the UK, as corrective surgery for deformity is more challenging than bone lengthening surgery.
Pain after corrective surgery is not as severe as with bone lengthening surgery.
