Hey Hulkinside, I posted a similar question a while back. Like Movie said walking and stairs are the best for building up overall strength to begin with. To help with the waddle you need to target the hip abductors by doing side leg raises and clamshells. I totally ignored the abductors for a long time until Alchemist reminded me, theyre small muscles but essential for having a good gait while walking.

Hi Hulk,

I wanted to add that if you're only 20 days post distraction you still have a bit of time before being too concerned about progress while walking.   Keep walking, stairs, squats and continue to do any workouts that strengthen and stretch hip/glut muscles.  It took me about 5 1/2 months before my walk started to appear completely normal again.  Some of us come along faster and some of us take even longer.  Give it time and I assure you; you'll be back to walking normal in no time.  Good luck!

All the best,

IFS
