Either he never went on with the surgery and if he did, the doc who agrees to operate on such an individual should be considered unethical

100% Agree! He belongs in a mental institution.

Glad you went on with the surgery and didn't listen to the naysayers. I'm sure many would love to see you write a diary, as there aren't that many recent Lee diaries, and even less of people who are doing quad lengthening.

Good luck!

Quote from: palm_trees on May 12, 2023, 10:48:39 PMHello, just wanted to do a quick update. I am currently getting my tibias done through LON with the renowned Dong hoon lee in korea...

I am doing tibias LON and my recovery is going very very well, alrready lengthened about 1 cm so far, w/ pretty much no more pain only discomfort sleeping ( it's only been 20 days and I have a lot of strength and flexibility in my legs now)

I will also be doing femurs about a month or two after finishing my tibias.

I know many of you say get to 174 - 175 for it to be truly worth it and I agree with this idea in that I must do at least 2 surgeries for me to make it worthwhile.

At the same time Donghoon Lee is a very safe doctor... and usually recommends 10 cm max for people who are doing lengthening simultaneously (tibias and femur more or less right after each other rather than 1 year apart)

I am shooting for a minimum goal of 11 cm, which would put me from 5'3.5 to 5'8 barefoot. If I can maybe push it to 12 cm this is also possible to possibly gain a little more, but when asked donghoon lee about this he says he probably would not recommend.... due to pressure in the joints, risks of arthritis?, and what i'm assuming to be hard recovery process thereafter.

Donghoon and my PT also mentioned that I don't want to go over too much so that my wingspan would look bad.. However earlier on doctor donghoon lee measured to my wingspan and said it was quite long for my height at 164? or something around there and said gaining 10 cm won't be an issue at all, and i'm assuming 11 cm probably won't be an issue either...

Anyways what else is interesting is I see most patients here doing LON tibia (which I know is not in use in america)... or precice tibia and from donghoon's team and from what I observe I see most patients are shooting for around 6 cm in tibia and a lot of them get there. I assume LON is really not a problem at all for people who see a skilled surgeon as doctor lee (and I was already walking and standing 2 weeks post surgery where preice patients cannot).

For the record I am shooting for 5.5 cm tibia and 5.5 cm femur -> 11 cm total getting me from 5'3.5 to 5'8 (barefoot). This will change my world completely and I am excited for what comes next. Wish me the best of luck fellas, so far things are going great so far!

Please write your own diary because there is lack of Dr Donghoon Lee information. Hope u recover well and everything is going well.
