Was it worth it? Did it improve your social or dating life?

I'm planning to get LL at 5'11, aiming for 6'2 to be above average in western countries.

I wonder whether the cost and length of the surgery are worth the gain. I could instead get other cosmetic procedures done in the face, but I suspect I would need more money than a LL would cost to make a real difference there.

I think someone said the tallest person (on this forum at least) to go through with it was 5'11. It's ultimately your call if the time + money + pain of LL is worth it, and whether or not you have height dysphoria. I definitely do, which is why I plan to basically hit that height as well. It's really just a judgement call on your part

Hmm... For me, it would depend whether this would impact my life positively. I feel like my height has had a negative effect on my social life and dating (in a sense that it was viewed neutrally and not favourably), but I wouldn't want to do LL if everything stayed the same.

I also think LL is one of the most "foolproof" cosmetic surgeries out there if you go to the right doctor. It's rare to look worse when you're taller (given proportions are okay). Compared to invasive osteotomies on the face, which have a decent risk of not improving or making someone look worse, LL seems to be a near guarantee to improve your looks.

It probably would, but it definitely wouldn't be as noticable than if you were to go from say 5'6-8 to your goal height. If I were to guess though, I doubt that height is what's hurting you in dating. So imo, it would make a slight difference, not just a very noticable one in your case. Or maybe that's my inexperienced teenage brain spewing nonsense.

I do agree with your opinion about LL being the most "foolproof" cosmetic surgeries, in terms of pure looks.

Yeah you might be right. That's why I'm looking for people that were in the same basket as I (5'10+ and got LL). I assume their dating problems would have similar causes as mine (either deficient frame/ width, face or hair).

I am 177,5cm and when stryde (or corresponding weight bearing nail) available again going to do 5-6cm. So from 177,5 to 182,5-183,5cm. I really believe that´s a huge game changer. From average to tall.

5´10 is nice height already, but I have only 1 life and I wont want regret at old why didnt do it.

And yes in dating life there is a HUGE gap between 5´10 and 6ft.

Why not Betzbone or GNail now?

Ehh... I think this is overblown. 5'10 vs. 6'2 maybe, but 5'10 vs. 6 is definitely debatable. There are of ton of my friends who are those heights, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you just met them due to their proportions and frame.

There's even someone I know, whom I haven't seen for a year due to quarantine, who's 6'2. I totally thought he was at least 6'3+ at first because of his legs. They were loooong.

Yes long legs makes you look even taller. So me at 6ft with long legs, i might look even 6´1 ft dude.

No need to take unnecessary risks, like gnail. Stryde is worth of risk. Betzbone is not weight bearing.

Like I said life is short. And I dont want regret when I'm old.
