I think there may be at least some truth to it if it's phrased differently. My calf muscles have to work much, much harder when I walk than before LL. They got really big during the recovery phase. My tibialis anterior muscles couldn't even grow enough to handle the increased workload, so I developed exertional compartment syndrome.
I'm not sure if femur patients experience the same thing. Any femur veterans want to weigh in on this?
