Yes apparently with the new approach for tibia nail insertion the risk is much less, that's why we have some fitbone users here who have had a positive experience with pure internals. I don't know if there are newer case studies using these techniques.
Quote from: bander72 on June 14, 2017, 10:56:53 PMYour talking like its 100% guarantee that you will get knee pain lol. The reason people say internal tibias is bad is that there is a 25% chance of getting knee pain. With lant, it is less chance than that. Anyway if someone is aware of the risk and wants to proceed then its on them. I sure as hell don't want be so many months in those frame for 4-5 cm gain and willing to take a risk as we all take risks when we do this surgery.
I always say RISK which in itself means it is not a 100% guarantee. However, I also read that there is a 30% chance (in some studies even more) of getting permanent anterior knee pain. I think a person who is aware of this and still do this procedure which in itself does not alter the cm gain, only reduces the time with frames is very unwise.
It's definitely on them but they don't know what it is like to live with pain everyday every time they walk. I think you will admit that being a few months with a device in your legs is better than having pain for the rest of your life. This added risk is stupid because we do the surgery for height boosting to the point of endangering our lives, and LATN only adds another risk.
