can you have leg discrepancy caused by surgery (for precice)?

because bone has to be cut and filled with nail during surgery, can that cause some mm difference
for both sides immediately after surgery(which may lead to permanent discrepancy if not corrected later)?

i mean 'because of' the surgery, not something that went wrong during lengthening.

Some discrepancy probably you will have, but that is not really a problem, because most people have natural discrepancy anyway. Many have even things like 1cm discrepancy. Whatever you have after LL will be short enough to not make difference in your life
