I have idiopathic thoracic scoliosis that I've had since I was a teenager.
I've heard leg-length discrepancy can be a cause of this, and that if it is cured, the scoliosis can sometimes improve.
I don't know whether I even have LLD, but prior to limb-lengthening, we will be evaluated for this on x-rays.
Does anyone have any experience with or know cases of people with scoliosis who had LLD picked up, and if it was corrected, did this improve the scoliosis, even after the teenage years.
Appreciate it.

I haven't had it checked out yet. I just know I've had scoliosis since I was a teenager, which has led to me being shorter. Orthopedist literally said Yes to that when I asked him if it made me shorter. My leg lengths were never checked out at the time.
Clearly when we have the limb-lengthening surgery, our leg lengths will be assessed. Just wasn't sure if anyone knows of any cases where scoliosis has come into play as far as limb-length discrepancy is concerned.
