This could be quite unusual; I have never heard of it. What was your physician’s response?

I haven’t had it examined yet. I simply know I’ve had scoliosis since my teenage years, resulting in me being shorter. The Orthopedist explicitly confirmed it when I inquired if it contributed to my height. My leg lengths were not examined back then.

It is evident that during limb lengthening surgery, our leg lengths will be evaluated. I was just uncertain if there are any instances where scoliosis has impacted limb length inequality.

I have had idiopathic thoracic scoliosis since my teenage years.

The scoliosis can sometimes improve if there is a leg-length discrepancy, which I heard might be a cause of this.

Before limb lengthening, we will undergo x-ray evaluations to check for LLD.

I am wondering if anyone has experience with or information about individuals with scoliosis who were diagnosed with LLD, and whether correcting it has led to an improvement in scoliosis, even beyond the teenage years.

Thank you.
