lengthening rate

Hi all,
I have decided to have a LLS next year in February, 10cm for tibia bones, OP will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam as I come from this country . As I heard the average rate of lengthening is 1mm/day for people under 35, which is totally fine, however, it is not possible for me to stay in bed that long since I have to get back to Germany and continue my study. That's why I ask you all today if anyone of you has ever had experience with it and if you could share your experience with me.

Oh thank you all for your comments. They surely enlighten me a lot. Yeah I also think I haven’t done enough research.
