1 cm gap after the surgery for sure descreases the lengthening period of a week or 2.
Lengthening with G Nail with Dr Guichet
ty!!!! Great idea!
In your experience, what are the easiest ways to fall that most people are not aware of?

As I remember facing down is better to help yourself with your arms. But the best way is to prevent yourself from falling at the first place. Having a someone with you all the time is important, lengthening shouldn't be done alone. I am sure your surgeon will give you a proper training on how to walk with crutches before your surgery. Make sure they teaches you how to take the stairs, it is complicated if you do not know the right technic.
10 days ago I finished my lengthening. I didn't think I'd get further than my first lengthening (7.4 cm) so I'm proud of what I've achieved and gained 9 cm. Also, I’m happy I’m getting back flexibility. Dr. Guichet congratulated me because I could cross my legs easily. I did all exercises he gave me, which I did and still do almost continuously throughout the day. I was about to stop at 8 cm as I already reached a good gain. He told me that I was doing great, and as I was feeling fine, after stopping one day, I decided to carry on lengthening. I can walk pretty well and walk 90 minutes every day.
During my lengthening I took painkillers only 12 days, but didn’t have to take anti-inflammatory medication. During the first month of lengthening, I didn't experience particular pain, only stiffness from time to time, clicks were easy especially on the right. Actually, clicks are felt more like a discomfort than a pain (only muscle stretching). I am used to them. 20 days after surgery, Dr Guichet gave me permission to leave London and go on clicking at home, as it was my second lengthening and as he said he trusted me: I fight hard to do the full training protocol. Every day, in addition to walking, I do 90 minutes of bike, 200 reps of each of the exercises.
Getting taller is hard but really worth it. Training is not a piece of cake. The success is at the level of the energy and determination we put in it.
congratulations to you for finishing your lengthening! 9cm gain, wow, that is amazing. how long did it take from your first clicking day to 9cm? around 3 and 1/2 months or more?

About 110 days, Dr Guichet told me to reduce the clicks (around 0,33mm/day) when I reached 8,5 cm.
Oh, intresting. prior to that were you doing 1mm per day? or less? can you share your daily lengthening amount based on the current length at the time?
thanks and hope you recover fast

What exactly are the "exercises"? Stretching?
Congratulations on finishing your lenghtning!!
I have a question, How many days it took you to grow 8cm? Were you lenghtening 1mm per day until you reached 8cm?
I’d also like to know, how was yor gait at this point, and if you were able to walk without crutches.
Thanks a lot and take care!!
Congrats on 9 cm! Could you tell us what your total costs have been so far?
