Hi everyone, I've been researching limb lengthening surgery and I'm curious about the possibility of using internal lengthening nails without external fixators. Has anyone had experience with this? What are the pros and cons?

I underwent limb lengthening surgery 2 years ago and I can tell you that the pain was intense, especially during the first few weeks. I used an external fixator and the cost was around $50,000. However, I gained 5 cm in height and it was worth it for me. I'm not sure about internal lengthening nails, but I'd love to hear more about it.
