Live life taller, quadrilateral surgery.

I’m new to this forum and I’m looking at getting limb lengthening surgery, so I’m doing my homework specifically clinics in turkey. I saw on livelifetaller website that they do quadrilateral surgery on both femur and Tibia simultaneously. I’m no expert on this but this seems like a grueling and dangerous recovery and I’m sure with a lot more risk of complications. Considering the stories I’ve seen on here how they have the audacity to charge what they charge is beyond me. Not trying to hate just purely an observation.

I actually visited this center in turkey to see the patients.
Most (all) of them seem satisfied.
Most of them seem pretty miserable walking with fixators and crutches, but - thats how it is no matter where you do it.
The rate of infection is low, and even that (infections) is a risk and a very very common obstacle that happens in the hand of the most skilled surgeons. In fact it doesn't have to do with surgeon's operation. Unless the infection was presented during surgery which causes deep infection soon after surgery, this complication I didn't encounter.
The facility and environment of a bunch of patients going through the experience together is something I can almost for sure say, that is highly motivating and comforting.
Practically, the only negative feedback from patients I got there was "don't do LON" (femur) which is mostly because of extreme discomfort, lack of ability to sleep, shower and find ease and rest. This is also obvious and not related to the center of the surgeon, it's just a hard process. They also said it since patients with precice nail was having a much easier time, making the Lon patients kinda jealous, I think.
But there are thing no one can deny, the amount of surgeries they do is huge. Having a doc who is so much experienced doing the same surgery over and over again, and a team treating the patient in aftercare, and amount of patients walking out with a smile.... All of this is enough for me to assume they are not nearly as bad as this forum claim.

Quadrilateral lengthening is risky and to me seems like a bad idea, no matter where you do it.

Have you had a surgery yet or are you still in the looking around phase?

they got a big place looks like a company rather than a clinic. alot of stories on youtube. they got great pt stories. so im assuming there ok people on this forum dislike the doctor. calls him a butcher and such. if hes got alot of youtubes hes doing something right.

If you value your life, health and ability to walk STAY AWAY of Turkey. There are only two Drs. there who aparently are good. Just stay away from those who promote the procedure as a restaurant.

This comes up way too often with LLT. There needs to be some automatic disclaimer whenever someone tries to make the same thread again for the millionth time
