Hi everyone, started to save $ and planning the surgery.
Been on the forum for a while and wants people who did LL, especially those who did both segments.

I'm planing to do Precise 2 or maybe Stryde (if money allows it) with Dr. Giotikas in Greece. Intend to stay there at least 4 months, maybe more.

I would like do femurs between 7 to 8 cm. And wait 1 to 2 years to go do tibias for 5 to 6 cm. Currently at 173 cm in the AM, 172 in the evening.

I may be satisfied with one LL, but in case I wanna go for a second, what are the risks and ways to minimize it. Read great diaries, but I would rather focus on the negative one's as they show more room from improvement.

Especially the one with Apothesis, did a lot and I heard he can't run.

Cheers.

Thanks so you're planning on doing it at around 27, that's still a good age for good results, I at first wanted to do 2 surgeries but I also want some sort of respectable athleticism left in me, my doctor said do Femurs first and see how I feel... If I felt like doing tibias after then we'd do it, after enduring the Femur procedure I'm more than happy to stay here and not do Tibias I know it would affect my athleticism a lot if I were to go for that.

Hey all the best with saving up $$$ and the surgery itself! After seeing your screen name I'm curious: any reason you're going to Greece for your surgery, instead of getting it done by Dr. Gdalevitch who's right there in Montreal? She's arguably the best in Canada (from what I've heard/read).

Do you feel like your permanently lost some of your athletic abilities ?
Do you think if you went 6 or 7 plus tibia your athleticism would be similar to your level right now ?

Once again thanks for the input Movie, wish you the best in your recovery, but you don’t need that LL journey in a year, need input

She is quite heavily priced you know. Asking for 85k, and everything else is not covered by the healthcare system. The currency exchange factor come at play, so if my investments workout maybe I will go with her. Btw you from Canada ?

yes, I don't think I'd ever get to my pre op abilities and If I do It'll all be with a lot more effort than before.

Oh yes! It would definitely hinder my athletic abilities even more than they've already been if I was to get tibias as well.

Thanks lol. 85k canadian is 60k USD that's pretty cheap a lot of us here on the US paid 75-77k with Mahboubian and that's the cheapest option in the US, best bang for your buck.

that's a little bit concerning and now I'm wary of quadrilateral. Where would you say you've noticed loss of athletic ability, intensity while sprinting and stuff? Has the mild loss of athletic ability hampered your life in any way?

I totally agree with movie. I did about 7cm femur lengthening. Pre-op I used to be really athletic and played soccer definitely above average. Although, the surgery went as smooth as that for Movie, I don’t think I’ll be able to get back to 100%. I am doing everything that I can to comeback with 100% of my athletic abilities though. But now, I realized that if I can get to 95%, I’ll be more than satisfied. Me too I was keeping the option of doing tibia later on. But after lengthening my femur, no way I’m gonna lengthen my tibia.
