there is a lot of pros and cons on both option for lon tibia , i never see anyone doing LON femur with circular ring ,
For circular ring fixator, its more fixed like more solid support in terms of position, its harder to sleep during lengthening phase, and it leave more scars if I am correct right (correct me if thats not true) , also the pain will be higher since more nails going through the legs, but the top surgeons like Lee and Brikholtz and Parihar who allow LON tibia are still using this frame
For monorail, its less fixed so maybe we need to be more careful during lengthening phase, its easier to sleep during the lengthening phase, and it leave less scars if I am correct (let me know if thats false), also pain is lower since there it has less nails and its closer to skin from pentration point to bone, monorail are used more in less expensive countries for LL
What do you guys think? which frame is better for lon tibia overall in the long run?
