During LL my mental health was damaged the first few days by pain, boredom, and being confined to a hospital room 24/7. I really did not feel like myself at all and was really negative. I think going outside, interacting, and moving around has made me feel close to normal. Today is day 6 post op. My girlfriend took me out for a few hours and wheeled me around. We went to the mall which had great wheelchair access and flat ground, but even the rough streets in the video following did not cause pain more than 2.5/10. It definitely made time fly, and I am happy and a lot more positive since I started doing this day 5 ( yesterday ). Mental therapy is just as important as physical, because before this I was as negative as a hermit. I was really feeling down

Highly recommend if you have a family member or a partner during this process. Seeing sunshine does wonders

Don’t confine yourself to a room during the process, your perception of time will be a lot longer

Activatedxx - Good points! Rooting for you to make a great recovery.  I can’t obviously say from experience - yet anyways - but most all diaries directly or indirectly stress the importance of mental health.  A lot of the LL process is PMA. Keep up the good work and positive thoughts 💪😎
