Hello

I will be in Mumbai at the beginning of March for consultations and hopefully LL surgery.

From this forum I know of someone from overseas who has just had surgery with Dr Parihar and I plan to stay at same hotel near hospital.

I'm from UK and would be helpful to do LL with one or more people who also want to lengthen.
.
Anyone else plan on doing surgery in Mumbai with Dr Parihar or Dr Shah?

Would be cool to have another Dr Parihar diary. Hope the patient posts here. Good luck in your travel to Mumbai.

Update

Had consultation with Dr Parihar. After x-rays and blood tests he advised me not do LON because I have a curved tibia bone. He said externals would be best for me or I can consider the Precice nail for tibia, as this is longer in length. One of his assistants said Precice would cost around $45,000. Think this includes Dr and hospital stay fees.

Dr Parihar was to go to Uk for Conference, so I had 5 days to decide if I wanted to do externals on tibia. I could not afford Precice nails and it takes time for them to arrive in India.

After reading a few diaries again including KiloKhan's, I realised external tibias will take well over a year and I cannot be off work for that long. Being in an active profession would not help.
So I postponed LL surgery for 6-12 months and will now do internal femurs instead.

Disappointed that I could not do LON. I had arranged to meet and stay at same hotel as another patient, who did external tibias 6 weeks earlier with Dr Parihar. He was also told that his tibia bone was curved and unsuitable for LON. He was happy and doing well. The other patient and I think Dr Parihar is a good sensitive Doctor and my experience with his assistant Dr Divya was good.

I may consider HLN for femur.

Read I'm very easy to understand. A new idea, never knowing where they come from before.

I also plan on doing PRECICE, with Parihar, around 2015 April or May. I might pick femur over tibia if he allows it since my femur and tibia are the same length + femurs recover faster.

I live in Mumbai so I'd go home, we wouldn't hang out much even if we did it at the same time but it'd definitely be cool.
