Since i am on this forum then you might think i have some height problem and was thinking about doing the surgery. iam 35 old and 5'7 tall. but then i started thinking about my life and whether my height affected my life in some way or other. i came to the conclusion that i never had issues with my height always did what i wanted to do. i even dated taller girls than me some of them are 5'10 and never one of them complained about that. ok i have athletic body with cute face but i guess a lot of people here have the same. iam sure that not all girls will like my height but so do i  i may not like one of their features. it goes both ways. so if you are thinking doing this for dating and acceptance purposes i will advice you dont do it cause some girl may not like you or be attracted to you for something else. accept the way you are and adopt you life accordingly. do not adopt yourself to others to be felt accepted but rather the way around. find a girl that loves everything about you including your height. it sound strange in saying that  but the most proud times i felt is when i am with a very hot girl taller than me going to a party or something and people looking at her. even my taller friends were jealous of that.  it gives me so much pride as there are a lot of guys taller than me but she choose me over them. Make long story short always have a self confidence in yourself and show that in your attitude. trust me you will attract girls.
