Quote from: Ted68 on January 19, 2025, 10:51:28 PMAnd how you dare to say dr. Gokhan "not even heard about Teriparatide" ?... He knows million things that you never heard about and you will never understand, believe me !

My doctor told me, which i knew already, that Forteo (Teriparatide) doesnt help in building callus. That medicine is good only for strengthening the bone that you, especially in osteoporosis  cases !... which, obviously, you have no idea about !

So, please, dont bother me anymore !.... Post your incompetency somewhere else !

Your doctor, who knows a million things, still told you something that is flat-out wrong.

There is quite some evidence that teriparatide helps in cases of non-union. It does quite often initiate callus formation and does not "just help you with the bone you already have". Dr. Birkholtz started using it a lot on his patients. There is even a diary of non-union (diary name: brickbrains) on the d server. The guy had non-union. 1 month after starting teriparatide the bone started to grow. He is now fully weight-bearing 4 months after starting it. It is a safe drug with no side effects if used correctly. Def. safer and cheaper than mounting plates, which are now causing you all this pain.

Some evidence:

But feel free to rest in the illusion that your doctor knows a million things and is highly competent - You should have long recovered by now. Despite my aggressive tone earlier, I am quite empathetic towards you and wish you a quick recovery.

Hey, ROTZ

I know you are worried and i appreciate that...

The problem is that FORSTEO is a strong medicine and it can turn bad my endocrine system.
As long as no doctor asked me to take it, that means i dont need it.
The graft should be enough for me to build the callus...

And, about the mounting plates, maybe you didnt read my detailed explanation, but i had many problems, not only the non-union. So, the plates or external frames + graft, was the only solution.
Forsteo is only a help, but much slower than graft, which is the ultimate and best way to create callus.

Hi, DDD...
I am a bit better. The atrocious pain decrease, so now i can walk easier with canes and walker. But still using wheelchair...
Its visible the tibial callus formation, because i feel pain in the gap and the frontal tibia got deformed in the callus area.
In 3 days will be 2 months since surgery, so soon i will do another x-ray...
Here is cold outside, so i stay home like a good boy all the time and few friends provide me all i need...
Thank you
