A graft from the iliac crest is technically easy to do and would likely work for you assuming the bone gap isn't too extreme. In fact; you could likely harvest from only one side at the hip and use it for both legs...

You would do your best to convince them that this makes good clinical sense; or consult another physician and furnish documents showing they too suggest harvesting at the iliac crest.
