Hi everyone, I thought I’d share my experience with the limb lengthening process so far. After months of research and preparation, I finally underwent surgery to start the lengthening journey. The surgery itself went smoothly, although the initial recovery period was challenging. I experienced some pain and discomfort, but with proper medication and rest, it gradually improved. Once I was cleared to start the lengthening process, it was a mix of excitement and apprehension. The distraction device seemed daunting at first, but I quickly adapted to the routine of adjusting it regularly. Physical therapy became a crucial part of my daily routine, helping me regain strength and mobility. Now, as I progress through the lengthening, I’m amazed at the changes happening to my body. It’s a slow process, but I’m staying positive and focused on the end goal. I’d love to hear about others’ experiences and any tips they have for coping with the challenges along the way.
