QuoteThose weight-bearing nails were recalled after evidence emerged that the steel might corrode, but Dr. D says that a new nail is awaiting FDA approval and should be available in 2023.

QuoteThis instilled in him a deep insecurity that ultimately prompted him to get his femurs done in February. Now, after spending the last three months alone in his apartment eating delivery food, he’s five nine.

LMFAO!! I like this guy! New weight bearing nail in 2023?!

I think the article says the man was 5’8.5”. That’s not even that bad he can pretty much pass as 5’9” if he wants to.

There’s absolutely no new nail currently awaiting for approval…

They’re still at the drawing boards

I’m the guy from the article (“Alan”). They made it seem like that’s what I did after I recovered, but really I was sitting on my ass and ordering delivery DURING recovery. People on Reddit were calling me a dweeb for this on the article that made it to the home page, but how are you supposed to go out and be social when you’re on a walker.
