I had this thought like they can either (obviously) just not do this surgery and enjoy their already great height
Maybe an exception would be places where people are very tall/his friends are very tall and then 5'10 would feel like an effective 5'8 to them
Or they could just do 5cm internal femurs with a weight bearing nail that can support their (sometimes) greater weight and get 6+ feet --and be walking in noticeably less time compared to people doing like 7-8 cm
And then just 5cm compared to their already long legs would not be that noticeable proportionally/leg proportions would still look good. So I wonder if in a weird way if doctors would see a 5'10 + patient as a great candidate (them not having to do as much length to achieve a great final result seems like a significant advantage). Then again, there was that already tall Polish basketball player Dr. Betz talked about in the youtube interview who did 13cm on femurs and the doc felt it was crazy
Though realistically, I guess if a 5'10 + person does LL he probably is going to do more than 5 cm because he has that kind of personality to want to improve on something that is already pretty good
