there is no solid answer, each persons bone consolidation differs.
Potential early cessation of lengthening with the g-nail
Although I found skipping a few days every now and then would allow for some recovery and ‘slightly’ easier clicking - I only started skipping any clicks after around 3cm when my IT band went completely nuts and I had to get a cortisone shot for it.
I know of a patient that went 2 weeks without clicking and managed to get one done although I think his consolidation was quite slow and he has a LOT of pain when he finally did clickafter those 2 weeks off.

Was your IT band cut during the initial surgery?
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
It wasn’t no, this is probably the reason why I am having those issues

hopefully it resolves soon
I thought Dr G always cuts the IT band now. Maybe because you expressed you only wanted 5cm it was felt it wasn't necessary
IT band was actually released during the surgery, I think the problem with my hip/glute is caused by a screw
Here is an xray of my legs, I think my bone callous is decent - let me know your thoughts
You can see here the left legs proximal screw is further out, this is the side I am having pain on, I presume this is what is digging into tissue/it band getting caught on when I move

could be, are you back to clicking regularly?
I am not clicking anymore, nor ever again thankfully - I finished at around 4.3cm lengthened, a bit earlier than most people over here but I was happy with the result now 180cm, I am a couple weeks into consolidation and already feel the improvements. Looking forward to walking unassisted and starting the full recovery - I hope with 4cm I am able to make a full recovery
