For those who did LL, especially if you did it alone: how did you manage your pre-LL nerves in the weeks/days/hours leading to surgery? Did you mentally start visualizing yourself in a wheelchair / in discomfort? Or did you dissociate yourself from the thought and let the date sneak up on you?

From reading many diaries here, I knew what was coming for the next few days/weeks/months.

I disassociated from those thoughts, and only focused on the good potential outcome.
