1. Which doctor did the nail removal?

2. When did you do the nail removal?

3. Femur or tibia?

4. How much did it cost you?

5. How long did you need to stay in that doctor's location?

I'm uncertain if I'll be able to get nail removal covered by health insurance. When I ask health insurance company's if they cover the CPT code associated with nail removal, they start asking m questions like 'depends, what kind of device, etc' and 'may be able to cover like 40-60% depends but the insurance will be high' etc. I live in the USA and don't have an LL doctor in my health insurance network so I'm weighing my options (getting a new health insurance, hoping it works for a doctor) or even just saying screw it and paying out of pocket with Parihar for nail removal. What would you do?

The only thing I am wondering about is this: would a local orthopedic surgeon take out the internal nail and allow insurance to count towards it?

It seems like Assayag will try but is that common/will most doctors try to get it removed by insurance even though it was put in for cosmetic reasons?
