Hey guys,

I did my femur lengthening but got early consolidation with Dr. parihar. Now, I want more height as I am only 5'7 I am thinking should I go for tibia 2 inch (5cm) with donghoon lee or do rebreak femur and get 2 more cm with Dr. parihar. Or maybe 1inch in tibia and 1 inch in femur. What is my best option here taking risks/benefits in account?

The advantage is it'll not take long to recover from femur rebreak as it's a relatively simple surgery and the femur recovers faster. I've got an early consolidation so I hope I'll be able to recover faster from rebreak. 1-inch tibia will also be faster than 2-inch tibia and has low risk for contracture and other tibia related issues.

Quote from: toyz on October 31, 2022, 08:36:20 AMif you do in India again will you do it alone again by hiring helper? dont you feel scared that something might go wrong and you might become alone in wheelchair. like helper goes away and does not come back
and what about flying home after ll? Would you have to take the hlper with you in flight?

I've friends and family there. Last time, I was living in a shared flat with 2 friends and the caretaker.  In India, I have a good support system so I wasn't worried.

Quote from: JJ299 on October 30, 2022, 06:38:25 PMDr. Lee said it's better to do 2 small lengthenings in both tibia/femur although it will take a lot more time to recover. Aside from that Dr.  Lee is full for the next 2.5 years so if you are planning to do this surgery soon I would look for an another Doctor.

If you are planning to do surgery in Korea there are many good alternatives to Dr. Lee that's popular among Koreans.

This Surgeon has more surgery done than Dr. Lee and considered to be the second best in Korean LL forums.

This is not true. I just talked to them on whatsapp.

Quote from: JJ299 on November 01, 2022, 04:55:41 AMYou mean his pricing? His prices are:

- LON ( any ): $40,000~
- Precice ( Femur ): $67,000~
- Bilateral: $110,000~ ( both Precice ) or $82,000 ( Precice and LON ). He recommends 8 cm ( 4 + 4) and his maximum is 12 cm ( 6 + 6 )

Regarding in what sense? I had a consultation with him in person and have my surgery scheduled in April 2024 + going in his own LL forums his staff says they are full until late 2024 and people even sometimes ask if they can buy other peoples appointment ( which they can't ).

Are you doing LON or precice? If precise why not consider parihar in Mumbai?

Quote from: Black Android on November 16, 2022, 11:34:52 PMAny reason why you're not considering LON tibia (5cm) with Dr. Parihar, given that you're already familiar with the doctor?

Dr. Lee uses BMAC injections to speed the bone growth that's the only reason I was considering him. Now, I am considering betzbone in germany or precice with Dr. parihar.
