Title says it all, I want to lengthen 4 -5cm in my tibias but want to avoid potential knee complications down the line. Have you guys heard of any of the US Drs doing externals for CLL?

I know the recovery's a bitch in comparison and frames etc but it's worth it to me to avoid potentially messing up my knees

That's a good point MdoW - it's definitely worth it to me. My family's in the medical field and chronic knee pain's something I'd pay to avoid. I'm tempted to contact Dr Salameh in Germany but there's not much recent information on his frames

Think the vets would know best but having read a lot of the early 2010s posts it's not great. Seems as if it's not a bad situation then it's a case where the pain from the knee is present for several months - years before subsiding.  It just doesn't seem necessary. Obviously it's different for the guys wanting to do 6cms+ but I think for those of us wanting 4 - 5cms in tibs it doesn't make sense to consider LON.

How did you get the idea that I was talking about LON? Salameh's frames don't do any nailing - I've been talking about purely external frames the entire time
