The danger varies depending on the clinic. The more skilled the team is in post-op care and keeping the pinsites clean, the lower the risk of deep infection. However, limb lengthening also comes with several drawbacks, with only two key benefits: weightbearing and cost.

Thanks! It appears that Limb Lengthening with the LON method may not offer significant advantages compared to the Precise2 technique. I prefer to accumulate funds and undergo the procedure with a skilled surgeon rather than risk complications.

My primary worry revolves around the potential dangers associated with deep bone infection. I have been informed that this complication is frequently encountered in LON procedures.

In Vietnam, you can ask for disinfection nearly daily.

Therefore, if you claim you can look after yourself, it involves health and meals.

Numerous individuals dislike the meals, hence it is advisable to have funds ready for ordering food.

LON is an outdated technique for limb lengthening. Save money and opt for an internal method with a skilled surgeon.

It is excessively costly. I would prefer to have it done immediately because I am relocating to a Nordic country soon and will not have the time to undergo the surgery. Internals cost at least 50k, don’t they?

LON has the potential to add a minimum of 2cm to the femur’s length. I am considering whether the benefits outweigh the risk of infection compared to Precice 2. Money is not a concern in this decision-making process. It feels similar to taking a gamble like playing Russian roulette.

The possibility of undergoing Limb Lengthening surgery on femurs is also greater compared to undergoing it on tibias.
