Hi, I'm female with 156cm height at age 27. Initially I wanted to lengthen 6.5cm on tibias but after consulting with Rozburch I choose to do femur instead as it being safer and allowing me to add 1.5cm more. I will possibly do the second surgery if I can handle the pain. Please give me some advices on choosing Rozburch or Paley. (While there are tons of positive feedbacks on Dr. Paley, I read a single post indicating he treats Asian unfairly and it really makes me worry, especially this is a serious surgery. I don't if it's true.)
Thanks! I appreciate any thoughts or past experiences associated with these two doctors.

Well, if you have heard things like that about any surgeon, I recommend go to someone else. I know how difficult it is to deal with a  biased surgeon (I am not saying any LL surgeon is biased - I don't know), your life will become hell. I had to deal with a racist surgeon (not LL surgeon, none of the surgeons discussed in this forum) and he was so demeaning that I had to cry, I wanted to punch him, he was downright condescending on my race, skin color etc. So, even if you don't have proof, just heard something about a surgeon - that is red flag enough to not go to him/her, because you won't be able to go back and you will be in depression which is not good during LL. This is my honest opinion based on my experience with another (non LL) surgeon. In fact if I hear something like this for any surgeon (even without concrete proof) I will never take chances and will never to go that surgeon (that is my personal choice again). Note: My recommendation and what I write above is not to target any particular LL surgeon, I am not saying that I am aware of any LL surgeon treating some patients unfairly - I don't have any information on that, I am just saying what I would do if I hear something like that (about any surgeon) and giving my person opinion/recommendation to you.

Is there any particular reason you are focused on those two? I know of two other Doctors that perform this surgery in USA that are board certified and very experienced in height lengthening procedure.

Both Paley and Rozburch are excellent surgeons and you will surely arrive at a good outcome in time, with either one.

both are premium surgeons and they wont fail you.
Regarding the asian thing, i dont really know what you meant but he may not prefer to do LL on asian patients because after what I have heard, especially female asians have super low bone growth. the bones are already thin and fragile. So maybe he thought about not wanting to deal with complications? i dont really know. but both are extremely experienced

Thanks for sharing your personal experience with me. I tried to verify this crucial comment but haven't found any valid evidences. Maybe I should find a way to contact Paley's previous Asian patients regarding this concern. As for now I still put Paley on the very top of my surgeon list for his top notch skills:)

Mainly due to the positive feedbacks on this forum. Who are the other two great surgeons you recommend?

That single comment talked briefly about Paley being racist to Asians. But it could be wrote by someone ill-intentioned.
Can you please provide me the sources of "female asians have super low bone growth"? As it is not mentioned by either doctors and it's vital to the outcome.

Sorry to hear about your horrible experience with that loathsome surgeon. I just read your reply again and I will definitely choose to go with an unbiased doctor to ensure that my emotion will be not be negatively effected by the surgeon especially post surgery. Thanks, I will put more thoughts and time to investigate that comment.

Hi I'm basicly in the same situation as you(Chinese female, 155cm, 24),maybe we could share with each other. I've also heard that Paley got bad attitute to a Chinese girl who had lengthened 14cm, but not sure if it is the same one you mentioned.
Besides, how Dr.Rozburch specifically told you about"femur is much safer than tibias"? Sorry I'm still confused about what happened to the fibula when you break the tibia. Cuz I think even though 1/2cm shorter, longer shins would make you look better in skirts/shorts.

There is a better surgeon for Asian bone especially for tibias if it’s ok outside US

I also didn’t get good vibe from Paley
American doctors mainly do femurs for cosmetic
