Hi guys

I have been trying to find which visa type will work getting LL done in russia. As i am from india.

I have mailed solomin and kulesh both asking for what should i do for visa.

As of now only two option available to apply Tourist or Business visa, they both dont allow having medical treatment in russia.

Kulesh told me to ask consulate. But will they allow for this kind of visa probably not.

What should i do in this case

You dont need a medical visa. Everyone that has been there including myself has got a 3 year tourist visa which allows you to stay for up to 6 months in Russia at a time. Not sure how it would work for you since your from India. How long are you planning on staying in Russia?

If you get a 30 day tourist visa then your only option would be to get surgery at Medem clinic and they can get a visa extension for you. Visa extension is not allowed at the Municipal hospital.

If you are from India why not just go to Dr Parihar? I don't know if it is easy to get a visa from India. You usually need to have an employment letter to get a visa from India. And how will you keep your job when you need get LL?

I see that for Russia they don't ask for employment letter, so you can get a visa. I was wrong.

You can get the operation done in 30 days and get an extension. It is however a bit risky. You may have to prove that you didn't expect recovery to take this long. Worst case you have to go back to India.

During entry you can say consultation with doctor.

Anyways keep us updated with how it works out

For visa purpose you can just say tourism. Thats what i did. When i did the first section of my cross lengthening i only had a 30 day visa. At immigration i said i was there for tourism and 15 days later i came back to the states with frames on and in a wheelchair. Immigration didnt ask a thing, just checked my passport and visa.

It would be illegal to have the cosmetic procedure on touriest visa as i know. Do you have experience of it?
